Nelio Charlot van Heeswijk (they/he)
is a self-made creative based in Berlin, working across photography, film, and music.
Guided by the principle of radical softness, Nelio's approach to both art and life is rooted in vulnerability and authenticity — creating space for true connection, fearless self-expression and to embrace the undefined in a world of hardened borders.
Drawn to faces that tell stories, they capture actors, artists and performers in soulful and expressive portraits and develop branding concepts for creative professionals. With a background in filmmaking, Nelio produces video and cross-media campaigns for selected commercial clients and cultural institutions. By night, they become Charlie Vaux, playing soundtracks for sweaty dancefloors and queer futures.
